Child Safety Standards

PairNow is an adult-only social calling application operated by Nxtspacelabs Pvt Ltd. PairNow is strictly for people aged 18 and over. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation in any form, and we act on every report we receive.

These standards apply to everyone who uses PairNow, on every part of the service, worldwide. They form part of our Terms of Service and are enforced alongside our Community Guidelines.

1. Prohibited conduct

The following are strictly prohibited on PairNow. Engaging in any of them results in immediate and permanent account termination, and referral to law enforcement where required or appropriate:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Creating, uploading, transmitting, requesting, soliciting, linking to or distributing any image, video, audio, text or other content that sexually exploits or abuses a minor, including computer-generated, animated or AI-generated material.
• Sexualisation of minors. Any depiction, description or discussion that sexualises a person under 18, whether real, fictional or synthetic.
• Grooming. Any attempt to build a relationship with a minor for sexual purposes, including establishing trust, isolating a minor, or normalising sexual content or contact.
• Sextortion. Threatening to release intimate imagery of a minor in order to obtain further imagery, money, or any other benefit.
• Solicitation. Attempting to arrange sexual contact with a minor, whether online or offline.
• Trafficking. Advertising, recruiting for, facilitating or profiting from the sexual exploitation or trafficking of a minor.
• Underage access. Creating or using an account while under the age of 18, or knowingly assisting a minor to access PairNow.
• Facilitation. Directing users to off-platform locations where any of the above occurs.

2. Age requirement and age assurance

PairNow is rated for users aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to create an account or use the service.

• Every user must confirm they are 18 or over during registration.
• PairNow uses Google Play's minor access restrictions so that users Google identifies as under 18 cannot download or purchase the app.
• Accounts we identify or reasonably suspect as belonging to a person under 18 are suspended immediately and terminated on review. Any purchased balance on such an account is refunded where legally required.
• We do not target advertising, marketing or app-store metadata at children.

3. Reporting

In the app

Every live call on PairNow carries a report control that can be used at any time during the call, without leaving the app. Submitting an in-call report ends that call and blocks the reported user, so you never have to stay on a call to report someone. Profiles and accounts can also be reported directly. Reports are confidential — the person you report is never told who reported them.

By email

Anyone — user or not — may report suspected child sexual abuse or exploitation to us directly at grievance@pairnow.in. This inbox is monitored and reports involving a child are prioritised above all other categories.

4. How we respond

When we receive a report or otherwise become aware of suspected CSAE, we:

• Act immediately. The reported account is suspended pending review. Reports involving a child are triaged ahead of all other report categories.
• Remove the content. Any violating content is removed from the service.
• Terminate the account. Confirmed violations result in permanent account termination. There is no second warning for CSAE.
• Preserve evidence. Relevant account records and content are preserved securely for the period required by law, for the sole purpose of assisting investigations.
• Report to authorities. We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the appropriate authorities, including the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal in India and the NCMEC CyberTipline, and we cooperate fully with law enforcement requests that are lawfully made.
• Prevent return. We take reasonable steps to prevent terminated users from creating new accounts.

5. Legal compliance

PairNow complies with applicable child safety laws in the jurisdictions in which it operates, including in India:

• The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO), including the mandatory reporting obligations under Sections 19 to 21.
• Section 67B of the Information Technology Act, 2000, which criminalises publishing and transmitting material depicting children in sexually explicit acts.
• The Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, including our obligations as an intermediary to remove such material on notice and to maintain a grievance redressal mechanism.
• The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, where applicable.

Where PairNow is available outside India, we comply with equivalent local child protection law and reporting requirements.

6. Prevention and training

• Our moderation team is trained to recognise CSAM, grooming behaviour and indicators that a user may be a minor.
• Child safety reports are escalated on a defined path to the designated contact above.
• We keep a record of child safety reports, the action taken, and the date, and review these standards at least annually and whenever the law or our product changes materially.
• Users who submit good-faith child safety reports are not penalised, even if a report turns out to be unfounded.
